Often, the living conditions of animals raised for food is tragic and many meat eaters are unaware of this.

Animal Equality is an international organization that works to reduce the enormous suffering that animals endure while locked up in intensive farms or sent to slaughter. We are talking about something enormous.

Every day more than 200 million creatures are slaughtered worldwide for meat. This is more than twice the number of human beings who die in a year.
Emissions from animals raised for meat account for about 15% of total emissions, a similar percentage to that from transportation.

Animal Equality’s work is carried out through dialogue and collaboration with civil society, governments and businesses to reduce cruelty to animals raised for food.

The company has been operating for 15 years and is now present in 8 countries around the world (Italy, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India).

The main means through which it operates are investigations, information dissemination, corporate awareness and political lobbying.

The charity works with highly qualified veterinarians, biologists and professionals with years of experience in undercover investigations and large-scale campaigns.
